YouTube places restriction on creators; requires 10k views for adverts on channels



The video sharing company, YouTube has over the years been a source of livelihood for creative individuals that explores the platform to share  with the introduction of YouTube Partnership Program (YPP) since 2007. However, in recent times , original works of such creative minds are re-uploaded by some others so as to get views and earn income they do not deserve. This is an abuse to the owner of the original work of art.

It is on that note, the company, YouTube via a blog post informs content creators about the restrictions placed on its platform. The restriction is by updating the threshold required to join the programme. The threshold is for the creators to have up to 10,000 views, so as to protect the revenue of original creators. It has also made it possible to report an impersonating YouTube channels .
