#FUTO: Another student faces expulsion owing to activism



The university management of Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has expelled 6 students out of the 15 students arrested who were alleged to have masterminded the protest that engulfed the school in February.
The protest was staged over alleged hike in the school tuition as well as bad welfarism and mismanagement of funds.
The protest was said to be peaceful until the intervention of the police. It later turned violent and properties were destroyed.
This has triggered the expulsion of the 6 students whose identity is unknown.

This issue is becoming rampant in tertiary institutions in Nigeria, Ministry of education and other relevant agencies should look into these matter before it get out of  hand.
