Various types of lecturer you will meet in Nigerian Higher institutions


 Ungraduates  and  graduates  of  higher  institutions  in  Nigeria  will  agree  with  this  list.  However,  because  this  is  based  on  the  writer's  experience,  Some  readers  might  disagree  with  this  because  experience  can  never  be  the  same.  Check  the  list  out  as  itemized  below

 1.The  Strict  ones:  They  are  the  disciplinarian.They  are  bureaucratic  and  takes  nothing  with  levity.  They  are  neutral  in  treating  the  student  as  they  give  appropriate  reward  and  punishment  for  those  who  deserves  it  .  They  dont  joke  with  time.
 2.  The  Saddists  :  They  share  some  attribute  of  the  strict  lecturers,  but  they  are  merciless  in  treating  the  students.  They  are  splenetic  in  nature.They  are  not  always  in  good  terms  with  the  students  for  little  or  no  reason  .  Student  who  are  not  careful  (i  don't  mean  not  serious)  will  usually  carry  their  course.They  makes  stringent  rules.  They  make  statement  such  as  (i)"5  (distiction)is  for  God,  4  is  for  me,  3  is  for  the  Serious  student  and  other  grades  for  the  unserious  ones".   (ii).  "Tell  me  what  I  don't  know,  don't  tell  me  what  I  know".   (iii)  "Most  of  you  will  not graduates"  No  amount  of  begging  will  change  their  decision.

  •  3. Student  Friendly:They  are  not  so  strict  with  student.  Student  success  is  their  priority.  They  do  maintain  high  level  of  accuracy  while  marking  exams  and  usually  make  sure  failure  rate  is  reduced  to  the  barest minimum,  by  giving  student  lectures  in  time,  giving  areas  of  concentration  for  exams  and  test.  They  are  easy  to  approach.


4.The  "I  don't  care  ones"  :  They  are  the  laikadasical  ones.They  have  little  or  no  zeal  for  work.  They  hardly  come  to  class  to  give  lectures.  They  mark  exams  carelessly  and  inaccurately.  They  don't  care  whose  student  glowing  glory  they  are  dimming  by  their  acts.
5.  The  Money  lovers:  With  money  nothing  is  impossible  and  beyond  redemption  even  if  there  image  is  at  stake.
6.The Story Tellers: They waste time telling uninteresting stories about themselves to the students.
The  Female  Lovers:  These  are  the  male  lecturers  that  always  require  females  students  to  get  what  they  want  with  what  they  have  (not  in  terms  of  intellectual  gift).
8. Ghost  Lecturers:  They  are  not  so  common.  They  hardly  come  to  class  in  a  semester.  They  always  delegate  their  work  to  junior  staff.
9. Traders:  These  one  are  fond  of  selling  handouts  and  textbooks
