A Facebook user "Aisha Alubankudi" shares a photo a baby with fresh tribal mark with a big scar. He calls on the Lawmakers; Members of House of Assembly to enact law to curb or put an end to this dastardly act committed under the name of cultural heritage.


It should be noted that engraving of tribal marks is widespread among South-Westerners and the Northerners
in Nigeria. Each ethnic has it way of making tribal mark on babies as regards to their custom. So far this act have not been seen offensive and criminous in those areas of the country.
This callous act should be wiped out by entrenching appropriate laws to prevent babies and even teenagers from getting tribal marks. It could be allowed if if the individual is consented and he/she is willing without fear of any form.

A level 14 senior LASTMA Officer , Surajudeen Bakare was on official duty when he was murdered by some mobs (Okada riders and tanker driver) in Apapa,Lagos State. The Lagos state government have condemned the killing of the officer and have launched manhunt to bring those miscreants and perpetrators of this inhumane acts to book. Sources had it that the statement of the Lagos state government on the renewed traffic law binding motorists on plying the 475 restricted areas in Lagos state so as to ease traffic across the state has been in enforcement since it was pronounced.
