For the love of the world of vanity
And life which is rosy
Forgetting life is not a bed of roses,
It’s full of ups and downs
Men struggle to use what is in vogue in town
Not minding to work from dusk till dawn.

For the love of the world of vanity
Men involve in frivolities
Wanting to make quick riches
With no ambition,
And a truncated direction
This made them join individuals that are crooked and crafty
Forming fraternity to destabilize this society
Full of uncertainties
What an insanity and absurdity!

For the love of the world of vanity
Some men claims to see the unseen,
Know the unknown,
What they say is nothing but mendacity.
The gullible ones seek their help to live till eternity,
And acquire the world in totality,
But their effort to salvage them is futility.
Why not seek the help of the Almighty
The lord of the majesty and bounty
Whose existence is till infinity
Are you not aware of the day of accountability?

For the love of the world of vanity
Men break the bond of family ties
They treat each others with enmity
They are less concerned if anyone dies
Even in their vicinity.

For the love of the world of vanity
Man turns himself to a celebrated nonentity
You are nothing but a celebrity
Of negativity.

For the love of the world of vanity
Government officials embezzle with impunity
Gather wealth in a greater plenty
Dent their integrity
Made multitudes live state of destitution
With their act of misappropriation
They hide under the umbrella of their handmade laws that gives immunity
For corruption

Beware!
Life and its pleasures are vanity
In its entirety.

A level 14 senior LASTMA Officer , Surajudeen Bakare was on official duty when he was murdered by some mobs (Okada riders and tanker driver) in Apapa,Lagos State. The Lagos state government have condemned the killing of the officer and have launched manhunt to bring those miscreants and perpetrators of this inhumane acts to book. Sources had it that the statement of the Lagos state government on the renewed traffic law binding motorists on plying the 475 restricted areas in Lagos state so as to ease traffic across the state has been in enforcement since it was pronounced.
